ZZnature offers hardy Mountain State honey bees and queens with VSH and mite destruction genetics from our improved breeding stock.

Our breeding stock has evolved from climatized survivor populations, and instrumentally inseminated breeder queens from well-known breeders, such as VP Queens, Tom Glenn, M. Palmer, VSH Queens.org, Strachan, Miksa, the USDA’s VSH and POL semen combined with our selected stock, Purdue Anklebiters, Harbo VSH, and exchanges in VSH Breeders.org

We participate with the WV Queen Producers, USDA , and Heartland Queen Breeders in programs to select for the desirable hygienic behavior of VSH, mite resistance and destruction, production, gentleness, and sustainability.

After investment in instrumental insemination equipment and training at VP Queens in South Carolina and at Purdue University in Indiana, we will now offer a limited number of instrumentally inseminated breeder queens.
